WHY NARVRE?
- NARVRE was founded nearly 70 years ago to protect
the rights of railroad retirees as granted by the Railroad Retirement Act of 1937. Since
that time NARVRE has fought numerous battles against government encroachment and the
dismantling of our railroad retirement system.
- NARVRE is the only
Federally Chartered Organization whose sole purpose is the protection and preservation of
the Railroad Retirement System.
- NARVRE exists for you, retired or current railway
workers, your spouses, widows and widowers.
- NARVRE members from over 160 Units covering all 50
states nationwide meet regularly throughout the year in enjoyable settings, forging
friendship and solidarity.
- NARVRE brings together railroad retirees, veterans
and current railroaders on issues related to their rights as granted by the Railroad
Retirement Act.
- NARVRE is a non-profit organization dependent upon
your financial support and involvement.
What does NARVRE Offer?
- NARVRE represents
your interests in Washington by protecting and preserving your railroad retirement
benefits.
